Must haves

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt

Yes, that's it! It might be a short list, but it's the solid grounding you need to get to the next level.

Everything else is a bonus

  • Experience with IT ticketing systems such as Connectwise, Zendesk, or any other
  • Experience using monitoring platforms to pro-actively raise tickets
  • Experience with remote support of non-technical end users
  • Understanding of basic networking principles
  • Knowledge of IP addressing
  • Experience with network diagnostic tools (wirestack, tcpdump, ping, traceroute)
  • Understand the role of a firewall in a network
